Fever is part of the natural defense mechanisms of the human body. An increase in body temperature can help kill viruses and bacteria attacking the body, as well as regulate metabolism and hormones. It can be dangerous to cause a fever yourself, so be very careful if you want to. You can also think about raising the standard body temperature, which will allow you to get the same benefits without the associated risks. If your body temperature exceeds 40°C, you risk damaging important proteins.
Fever with medical help

You will be informed of the internal temperature that the unit must reach before entering it. Sometimes it is also advised to drink herbal tea from ginger root or take pills of this plant and cayenne pepper.
Before entering the chamber, you need to undress and apply an herbal solution, often containing ginger, to the skin. Wrap themselves in a towel and enter the sauna. A standard session usually lasts 60 minutes, but if there are no adverse reactions, it can also take up to 2-3 hours. During the procedure, you will need to drink a lot of water, especially if you are going to have a longer session. If you don’t sweat for the first 10 minutes or you have a different reaction, stop the session. At the end of the sauna session, you will need to take a warm or cold shower to narrow your pores.
Although the debate about the potential benefits of fever has not yet ended, some doctors recommend limiting the use of antipyretics, such as aspirin. If you take these medications in moderation, you will allow a mild or moderate fever to take its course, and the immune system will activate properly.
Endogenous pyrogenic hormone entering the brain leads to an increase in body temperature. A few quick muscle contractions can cause fever because they produce heat. Nerves constrict the peripheral blood vessel, thereby reducing heat. The tissues of the body begin to break down, creating heat. Feeling cold can make you get dressed more or drink hot drinks that will help raise the temperature.
Raise your body temperature with home solutions
Prepare the bathroom according to the Schlenz method. Also known as a “full overheat bath”, it is a centuries-old technique that stimulates the body’s natural immune response. Go to a professional center that provides a method, the process is quite simple, it can be easily prepared at home. Before bathing, drink a cup of hot tea, for example with ginger, lemon balm, mint, elderberry, or compound flowers. If you suffer from heart disease, add a few drops of hawthorn to your tea to reduce the potential risk of taking a hot bath. Fill the tub with warm water.
Make sure it is about 36-37°C. Immerse yourself completely in the water, if you cannot immerse yourself in the bath with your whole body, bend your knees so that your head is under water. Keep your nose and mouth above the surface so you can breathe easily. Make sure that the water does not cool down while taking a bath. If necessary, add more hot water to maintain the desired temperature. Make sure that a temperature of about 38°C is always maintained at each refueling. Stay in the bath for about half an hour. If you feel weak or dizzy at the end, ask someone to help you get out of the bath.
Try an alternative form of a bath. In addition to the traditional Schlenz bath, there are other methods in which hot baths are used to increase the temperature. Anti-cancer, involves immersion in a hot bath, bringing the water temperature to the maximum permissible, but without burns. Add 1 kg of Epsom salt and take it for 20-25 minutes. If necessary, add more hot water so that the heat source remains constant. Drink ginger tea during the bath to warm the body from the inside, while the water acts from the outside.

Try the meditation “g-tummo”. It is believed that this particular type of meditation, transmitted by Tibetan monks, can raise body temperature and potentially cause fever. Scientific studies have shown that it will help to raise the body temperature until it approaches a mild or moderate fever. During Buddhist meditation, called “vascular breathing”, there was an increase in body temperature. The duration of this phenomenon depends on the neurocognitive element (meditative visualization) of the meditation itself.
Find an experienced teacher and ask him to guide you through this practice. Vascular breathing is a technique that can be used at home and helps regulate body temperature. In practice, it is necessary to inhale clean air, and then try to exhale at least 85%. The necessary movement forms the lower part of the abdomen, making it look like a vase. You can combine this practice with visualization, for example, by imagining a flame running along the spine.
Exercise to increase your body temperature. Exercise and intense physical activity increase your body temperature. If you work out hard on a hot day or wear several layers of clothing, do not let your body cool down and dissipate heat. Thus, the temperature of the trunk increases by several degrees, be very careful when performing exercises. Otherwise, you may encounter various thermal conditions, such as exhaustion and heat cramps.
Some athletes, such as wrestlers, wear multiple layers of clothing or even plastic bags and perform cardiovascular exercises such as running or weight lifting. These athletes also go to the sauna, dressed in such a way as to increase body temperature and sweat, remove toxins, or lose weight due to water. Don’t forget to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. Be aware of the symptoms of heat, such as dizziness, nausea, heart rate, and vision problems. If you have experienced any of these ailments, stop immediately, try to lower your body temperature, and rest.
Eat foods that increase body temperature
Brown rice. A small portion of this cereal with each meal – or at least with each dinner – allows you to raise your body temperature for several days. Since it is a complex carbohydrate, its digestion in the gastrointestinal tract is quite difficult. This extra work causes heat generation from the inside. Remember that other whole-grain products, such as quinoa and buckwheat, have a similar effect.
Ice cream. If you eat one serving of ice cream a day, you can gradually increase your body temperature over several weeks. Heat shock caused by cold food causes the body to release heat to prevent excessive temperature drops. In addition, all foods containing fats, proteins, and carbohydrates heat the body more during digestion. Fats move very slowly through the digestive tract, so they cause the body to heat up to facilitate the process.
Cayenne pepper. A little more than one gram is enough every day during meals. If you can’t eat this dose at one time, sprinkle the dishes with a small number of spices at each meal. Cayenne pepper contains capsaicin, a chemical compound that gives it a spicy taste and is responsible for the rush of heat that you feel immediately after ingestion, even if it does not change your body temperature. Indeed, it is the digestive process that the body must go through to metabolize capsaicin that causes the temperature to rise. There is no complete certainty, but jalapeno pepper and habanero seem to have a similar effect.
Consume more coconut oil. Coconut oil is a medium-chain triglyceride that helps increase body temperature and metabolism. It is known that metabolism accelerates and stimulates weight loss. Instead of accumulating fat, they are converted into energy, thereby increasing body temperature. This factor can benefit people suffering from hypothyroidism. Coconut oil may also have antiviral properties and help people with diabetes to stabilize blood glucose levels.
Eat more peanuts. Peanuts are a good source of protein, and fatty acids and are rich in niacin. Niacin is a B vitamin responsible for respiration and metabolism at the cellular level. When consumed, it causes a rush of heat, which leads to an increase in temperature. Peanuts also have antioxidant properties and can help revitalize a rather slow cardiovascular system.
Consume more ginger. If you eat a piece of root, your body temperature may rise sharply. If you don’t want to eat this food, you can make herbal tea. Ginger stimulates digestive activity, therefore increases body temperature. Some other tubers and roots can have a similar effect. If you don’t like ginger, try carrots, beets, or sweet potatoes.
